The glow plug has to stand high temperature, high pressures, vibrations and attacks from corrosive agents, which develop during combustion. The point of the glow plug has to be placed correctly to ignite fuel. It cannot protrude too much into the combustion chamber as it could trigger combustion incorrectly. That is why replacing glow plugs is a problem; furthermore, they easily break in their seat. If the glow plug is still intact and using the spanner standard it cannot be unscrewed, use the supplied spanner Torx.
